Privacy Policy

Wisp is built so that your notebook stays yours. This page explains, in plain language, what the app does and does not do with your information.

Effective 16 September 2026 Applies to the Wisp app

In brief

01Who this policy is for

This policy describes how information is handled when you use the Wisp application. It applies to the app itself and to anything you store inside it.

By using Wisp, you acknowledge that you have read this policy and understand how your information is treated.

02What the app keeps

Wisp keeps only what it needs in order to work for you. All of it is stored locally, on the device where you are using the app.

Your entriesThe text you write — the headline, what happened, and the way you would handle it next time.
Pictures you attachAny image you choose to add to an entry, saved alongside your notebook on the device.
Your preferencesSmall settings such as the time you prefer to be reminded, so the app behaves the way you set it up.
In one line: the app stores your notebook and your preferences on your device. Nothing else.

03What the app does not collect

Some categories of information are simply not part of how Wisp works. We do not collect:

We do not combine information about you with information from other apps or services.

04Where your information lives

Your notebook is written to storage that belongs to the app on your own device. We do not keep a server-side copy, and we have no way to read what you have written.

05Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share your information with data brokers, marketing companies or any other third party.

Your notebook content is never disclosed to anyone, because it never leaves your device. We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so — but since we hold none of your notebook content, there is ordinarily nothing for us to disclose.

06How long information is kept

Your notebook stays on your device for as long as you keep it there. There is no retention period imposed by us, because we do not hold a copy.

When you delete an entry, or clear all data from within the app, that content is removed from your device immediately.

07Your choices

Everything about your notebook is under your control, from inside the app:

There is no account to close and no profile to deactivate, because neither exists.

08Security

Because your notebook does not travel anywhere, the main protection for it is your device itself. We recommend keeping your device's own security features switched on.

If you share your device with other people, they may be able to open the app and read what is in it. Wisp does not currently offer a separate passcode of its own.

09Children

Wisp is a reflection tool intended for adults and older teenagers. It is not designed for young children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Since the app does not collect personal information at all, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request removal of. Removing the app from the device deletes the notebook.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example if a future release of the app handles information differently. When we do, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page.

We will always describe the handling of your information honestly, and we will not introduce practices that contradict the plain-language summary above without saying so clearly.

11Contact
